FileZilla birçok özelliği bulunan küçük ama oldukça güçlü bir FTP istemcisidir. Tüm bağlantı bilgileriniz ile uzak sunucuya yaptığınız giriş bilgilerinizi Internet Explorer tarzı bir arabirim ile gösterebilir ve kaydedebilir.
FileZilla programı güvenlik duvarı (firewall), proxy bağlantıları, SSL ve Kerberos GSS güvenliğini destekler. Ayrıca bağlantıyı açık tutma özelliği, otomatik Asci/Binary transferi desteği ve diğer onlarca gelişmiş yardımcı aracı ile hem amatör hem de profesyonel kullanıcılar için çok özellikli bir FTP istemcisi görevini başarıyla yapabilir.
